Crucible Energy Pty Ltd is an Australian company achieving world’s best practice in the design, build and implementation of portable, scalable, and modular waste to energy systems, that convert municipal solid waste (MSW) and other problematic waste streams, into electricity, clean water, and other marketable products.
Unlike large centralized systems, where transporting waste to the system is necessary, our plant and CrucibleTRU technology is designed to operate in situ at landfill sites or other waste collection points, processing all inbound waste in an efficient and environmentally responsible manner.
Our goal is to produce renewable and sustainable energy, reduce or eliminate reliance on landfill and reduce the total cost of waste management for communities. Our system produces income rather than cost.

Landfill sites are ugly, take up large tracts of public land, store hazardous waste or toxins, create dangerous leachate and generate methane. One tonne of bio degradable waste can produce about 500 cubic metres of gas and landfills are the third largest source of human-related methane emissions.

Our technology, installed at your site, will result in a huge reduction in the cost of waste transport, and works in synch with other recycling strategies to reduce waste volume. Inbound waste that cannot be recycled will be diverted from landfill. This integrated approach will also contribute to a substantial reduction in landfill Methane, a greenhouse gas which is 84 times more potent than Carbon Dioxide as a source of global warming.We are working with a number of Local Government Areas in Australia to build sustainable waste treatment solutions to shift away from landfill as the primary solution
A unique and innovative process
Buried waste is a lost resource that is capable of generating substantial baseload power to the grid and the potential for local government to significantly reduce the cost of community power.
We can build a self-contained microgrid system independent from the national grid, but with the ability to sell back into it. This localised solution means that photo voltaic solar powered businesses, homes and industry can sell their excess electricity into the microgrid, further reducing the cost of consumer electricity. We use sophisticated data and analytics tools to ensure maximum return on investment in this unique offering aimed at empowering local communities to take control of energy costs.
